AMDP Investment Proposal - Gold House, Draft 1 (incomplete)
From:
Jake Patao, Research and Development
To:
Clark Hansen, CEO
Subject: Gold House: Proposal for AMDP Investment
Date: March 4th, 2024
For my recommendation for a business worth of investments from Anima Mundi Development Partners, I have found a group I feel would benefit greatly from additional support. I recommend Gold House as a wonderful company for AMDP to invest into as they meet our company criteria: socially responsible, environmental-friendly and profitable. Given the talent and industry professionals associated with the company and the notoriety Gold House has, their social responsibility and profitability are their strongest qualities.
In this memo, I will cover the following:
- AMDP Standards
- About Gold House
- People Involved
- Financial Information
- Past Success Stories and Rapport
- Recommendation
First, I’d like to go over our standards within AMDP to further establish Gold House’s qualification which are: triple bottom line, corporate social responsibility, social enterprise, and carbon footprint.
AMDP Standards
Triple
Bottom Line
Triple
Bottom Line follow the three P’s:
·
People:
Quality business
relationships with those worked with, including: customers, employees,
suppliers, and the community.
·
Planet:
A group that heavily
considers the environmental impact of their business, practicing their operations
ethically with the environment in mind.
·
Profit:
Financial
stability that is profitable and consistently growing without negative impact
on people and the planet.
Corporate
Social Responsibility
A practice
in which social and environmental concerns go hand in hand with economic
profits with stakeholders. These things include the well-being of the customers,
employees, and community/environment relevant to the company involved. Concerns
such as these are important for the company involved to demonstrate care in as
a part of their operations and practices.
Social
Enterprise
When an organization
integrates a desire for societal and environmental improvements alongside its commercial
strategies in order to meet its social objectives.
Carbon
Footprint
Low carbon footprint is an important factor that is measured to confirm the previous standards listed. By taking a GHG (green house gas) assessment to measure the company’s carbon footprint, we can determine its level of impact on the environment from its GHG emissions.
About Gold House
As a non-profit established in 2018, Gold House is an Los Angeles based organization that focuses on uplifting, supporting, and working with people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent in the entertainment industry. The company has a wide variety of leaders, including creators, investors, and entertainers that highlight each other’s work by investing into content and companies. The aim is to help give a voice to the APIDA community through changing perceptions and creating a multicultural community within entertainment. As written on their website, Gold House aims to "forge meaningful bonds across professional, familial, and community life, and leverage those relationships to elevate the Asian Pacific diaspora's authentic societal representation and economic success." (Gold House, 2024)
Concerning
the standards mentioned before, Gold House places a strong emphasis on its
community and social inclusion of the minorities within the APIDA space. While
doing whatever it can within its power to be environmentally considerate as an entertainment
focused group, the care they put into the people involved and the marginalized
groups they give voices is their focus. This is emphasized by what they have on
their website, highlighting how “when one person rises to the top, they must
create room for others. That’s why [they] power and propel Asian Pacific
communities across every corner of culture.” (Gold House, 2024)
